Pole Portal was born out of the recognition that there is a need for a supportive and healing space within the pole community—one that focuses on self-exploration and personal growth rather than performance. This space is designed for both beginner and seasoned pole dancers to connect deeply with themselves, reflecting on the emotions and experiences that unfold throughout their life journeys. While pole dance is a stunning form of artistic expression, it can also serve as a powerful tool for emotional healing, sensual reconnection, and building resilience. Pole Portal was created to help guide and support these transformative experiences.
Additionally, Pole Portal was intentionally created with the needs and experiences of sex workers, survivors, and individuals who have experienced sexually related trauma at its core. Ivy understands that these journeys can be deeply personal and complex, and she aims to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where healing, self-expression, and reclaiming power can flourish. Pole dance has the potential to be a transformative practice, offering an opportunity for survivors and individuals to reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels empowering and restorative. Whether it's rediscovering sensuality, processing past trauma, or simply finding a safe space to express and release emotions, Pole Portal is here to support each unique path toward healing and self-discovery.
