Healing Through Movement, Ritual & Ancestral Wisdom
Embody Ritual is not just a business—it is a living concept, a traveling sanctuary that moves wherever you do.
A sacred container for somatic healing, embodiment, and ancestral remembrance, rooted in movement, ritual, and Indigenous wisdom.
Each offering is more than a practice; it is a reclamation. A ritual. A return home.
Meet Ivy
Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California (Tongva lands) , Ivy is a movement artist, Pilates and pole instructor, and sensual embodiment guide devoted to helping others reconnect with their bodies, power, and ancestral wisdom through movement and ritual. Wellness has always been deeply personal to her. Coming from a family where diabetes, obesity and unhealed trauma were common, Ivy began her own healing journey as an act of love — for herself and for the generations that will follow. Wellness, movement , and ritual became catalysts for breaking generational cycles and for honoring her body as a vessel for longevity, joy, and freedom.
Holding a degree from UCLA, along with certifications in Pole Dance (XPERT Levels 1 & 2) and Reformer & Mat Pilates, Ivy blends professional training with lived experience and ancestral remembrance. For over eight years, she has been a traditional tribal dancer with the Mexica, and it is through sacred dance and her return to the red road that she learned the power of community, ceremony, and embodied healing. These teachings continue to guide her work, reminding her that the body is a portal for transformation and that movement is both medicine and memory.
Through Embody Ritual, Ivy weaves Pilates, movement, somatic practice, and Indigenous wisdom into accessible, soulful offerings that support people in reclaiming their strength, sensuality, and true essence. Her mission is rooted in the belief that being strong, mobile, and connected to the body expands our capacity to live fuller, more meaningful lives. She is especially devoted to creating spaces that feel cultural, inclusive, and rooted in belonging — spaces where beginners, nervous movers, and returning movers are all welcomed with tenderness and warmth.
By offering Pilates pop-ups, sensual dance classes, community workshops, and traveling embodied practices, Ivy hopes to bring a new vision of wellness to her community and beyond: one that is joyful, decolonized, and grounded in remembrance.
My work is deeply inspired by the wisdom woven into traditional Native American tribal dance, where movement is prayer, ceremony, and medicine. These ancestral rhythms teach us what modern somatics continues to affirm: the body is a vessel for healing, storytelling, and spirit.
In both traditions, we return to the body to release, reclaim, and reconnect—with ourselves, our lineage, and the Earth. Through intentional movement, we honor ritual, embody resilience, and dance as our ancestors did—not for performance, but for presence. This is the heart of my practice: a sacred reclamation of the body as a site of truth, power, and belonging.
